The Striving for Success Summit will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 on the campus of Metro Community College at the Fort Omaha Campus Institute for the Culinary Arts, 5370 North 30th Street. The Summit will take place from 8:00AM – 2:00 PM, with a luncheon from 11:30AM – 1:00PM.
This day-long summit will motivate African-American 9th grade males to pursue excellence in education and will receive presentations from local experts in the areas of: Education, Business, Health, Faith, Money & Finance and the Justice System.
This audience is being targeted because they have been identified as being at-risk for failing to graduate from high school, being under employed and over-represented in the criminal justice system. Also, this event will serve as a fundraiser for the three agencies that are providing much needed services that will have a direct impact on reversing this trend.
Youth registration is free — sign up by September 3, 2012 to ensure admission to this motivational and inspirational workshop for young men.
