37 Students Honored with 2018 ULN Scholarships

The Urban League of Nebraska have honored many students this year by offering them $1,000 scholarships! This year’s scholarships, (which were made possible by the Urban League of Nebraska, Metropolitan Community College (Nebraska), ULN Guild, and Urban League of Nebraska Young Professionals) will award 37 Omaha-area youth – many of whom are ULN program participants – pursuing post-secondary educations.
A reception for the scholars will be held Thursday, May 2nd, at Metropolitan Community College Institute for Culinary Arts. Skyler Johnson will be the event’s keynote speaker; Johnson is an 8th grade American History teacher at Lewis & Clark Middle School; before his position at Lewis & Clark, he was a specialist for the Careers for Kids Program through the Omaha Public School. The Urban League of Nebraska is proud to offer our scholars the opportunity to hear from an accomplished and involved member of the Omaha community!

We want to again congratulate all 37 students on a job well done!
