Girls Steam Academy | June 3 – July 12

Is your daughter interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Agriculture, and/or Math (STEAM)?! Sign her up for the Summer Girls STEAM Academy!!

The Urban League of Nebraska STEAM Academy is a 6-week program designed to encourage girls to take their rightful place in the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The program hopes to rectify the lack of female representation in these fields.

Your daughter will participate in many exciting activities during the program, including:

  • College Tours at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, UNMC, and Creighton University
  • Workplace Tours at the Army Corps of Engineers, Aquaponics Systems, Union Pacific, the Omaha Fire Department, among others.
  • Job Shadowing at Mutual of Omaha
  • Lectures from professors in Science, Tech, Engineering, Art/Agriculture, and Math
  • ACT Preparation

Summer Credit Recovery Program | June 3 – July 12

Ensure graduation for your student! Sign them up for our Summer Credit Recovery Program!!

The Urban League is committed to helping your child graduate from high school. Obtaining all academic credits are essential for that step. The Summer Credit Recovery is the best avenue to achieve this goal.

The program provides students with an opportunity to recover credits that were not obtained during the regular academic year!

During the program, students are provided intense academic achievement advisement and specialized one-on-one tutoring to help complete assignments, quizzes and exams via the Omaha Public Online Credit Recovery Program.
