Summer Credit Recovery Program
The Urban League of Nebraska’s Credit Recovery Program provides students with an opportunity to retake a course previously taken and failed through Edmentum, Omaha Public Schools’ online learning system. Students complete a series of rigorous self-paced, computerized tutorials, drills, mastery tests and off-line activities. Credit Recovery is designed to give students an opportunity to recover credits in the core classes of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Also, Credit Recovery is supported by the state of Nebraska certified teachers and Urban League of Nebraska’s employees who will administer individualized learning, enrichment advising and curriculum reviews to aid in the success of each students’ completion of the program.
Classes are facilitated by an on-site high school advisor. During the first week of the program, each student will receive log-in information for the online curriculum. Assignments and homework can be accessed anywhere the student has an internet connection like from home or a library. However, all quizzes and exams are proctored by certified staff at the program site.
Who should attend?
Any high school student in grades 9-12 who needs to recover credit. Classes are limited to 50 students.
