  • Grant Writer
    • Reporting to the SVP, Donor Engagement, the Grant Writer is responsible for identifying grant opportunities and managing the grant proposal and reporting process. The position works closely with UWM senior management and program directors to identify funding needs that contribute to the organization’s mission. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional and resourceful demeanor, the ability to work both independently and as a team player, and a desire to take initiative and manage numerous projects simultaneously.

  • SVP, Donor Engagement
    • The Senior Vice President, Donor Engagement reports directly to the President and serves as a key member of the executive team. The SVP, Donor Engagement works in close alignment with his or her peers leading United Way of the Midlands functions to increase the visibility of our community work, foster existing partnerships and create new ways of engaging donors and volunteers. The primary focus of the SVP, Donor Engagement is to lead and oversee UWM’s donor engagement strategies and initiatives. The SVP will maintain and enhance current successful fundraising initiatives, lead the annual workplace campaign and create new resource streams. The SVP, in partnership with the President, is a “lead ambassador” and spokesperson for UWM and will be expected to play a public role, particularly in cultivating and managing relationships with corporate, government, and other institutional partners.

  • 211 Helpline Information and Referral Specialist
    • 2-1-1 is an Information & Referral Helpline providing referrals to non-profit, health and human service agencies to people in need. Across the state of Nebraska and parts of Iowa, our mission is to connect people in need to resources that can help. This position is 25-29 hours a week, with rotating weekends and evenings. Reporting to the Helpline Supervisor, our ideal candidate will be service oriented, a team player, dependable, have the ability to work on several projects or tasks simultaneously and fit in to our fun environment. The Information and Referral Specialist will perform varied administrative duties for the Helpline Supervisor and answer inbound information and crisis calls from individuals in need of assistance.
