Urban League University College Tour


The Urban League University students went on a college tour June 27, 2018 at Peru State University. Urban League University is a six-week program that provides high school students an opportunity to develop leadership and entrepreneurship skills through workshops, activities and community and service learning projects.

Day of Action


Volunteers from United Way visited Franklin Elementary on June 21, 2018 to read with the school’s elementary students. We are very appreciative of the assistance of United Way and various companies and organizations during our days of action.


Girls Summer STEAM Academy


On June 19, 2018, the Urban League’s marketing specialists Walter and Kayla visited this year’s the Girls Summer STEAM Academy girls to discuss their high school and college experiences and perform a fun engineering activity!


2018 African-American Leadership Awards Recipients


Every year, the Urban League recognizes the accomplishments and achievements of African Americans in our community who have made significant contributions to the City of Omaha. Above are the individuals that were honored June 1, 2018 for their respective achievements.


MCC Ribbon Ceremony


Metropolitan Community College-Fort celebrates the opening of its Career and Academic Center, Construction Education Center, and the Center for Emerged and Advanced Technology.


2018 Urban League of NE Scholars


The League Scholars are honored and receive certificates for their completion of the program!


2018  “I Am” Conference


Girls from across the city participated in the “I Am” Conference, a day-long event that inspires young women grades 7-12 to excel in their education. They met female professionals, college graduates, and attend motivational workshops.
