The Urban League of Nebraska has partnered with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Black Studies Department at the University of Nebraska Omaha to bring culturally relevant and engaging events to the community throughout the month of February.

Nominations Open for the 2016 African-American Leadership Awards

Every year, the Urban League of Nebraska Guild hosts the African-American Leadership Awards to recognize and honor African American community leaders who have made contributions in the following categories: Business, Community, Education, Faith, Government, Health, Young Professional (ages 21 to 39) and Youth (ages 16 to 18).

If you know someone who has contributed to the City of Omaha in one of these categories, make a nomination today!  Nominations close at 5pm on February 29.

In celebration of Black History Month, we are featuring African Americans from both the local and national levels who contributed to bettering their communities, participated in the Civil Rights Movement, and/or made history with their achievements.

 

Apply for a ULN Scholarship

The Urban League of Nebraska offers scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors who are pursuing a post-secondary education.  Scholarship applications are due Tuesday, March 1st at 5pm.  For more information or to apply, please visit our scholarship page.
